ï‚· Create an environmental action plan for your business
ï‚· Carry out an action that will improve the environment
ï‚· Receive a LANTRA accreditation in Climate Action 101
ï‚· Become a Climate Advocate for your business
You will learn about:
1. Environmental Action Plan: Companies are facing increasing pressure to have a
tangible plan in place to demonstrate their commitment to the environment. As part of
the course, participants will create or build on the company's existing environmental
action plan. Small changes can make a big difference for sustainability, and often even
financially, and most premises aren't optimizing their spaces as best as they could for
biodiversity.
2. Green Procurement. The public sector is under pressure to ensure that suppliers have
a strong environmental ethos. The green credentials of a company who apply for tenders
are becoming increasingly important with up to 10% of marks allocated to this. Having an
accredited climate certification would help to showcase a company's commitment to
their green credentials.
3. CSR Fulfillment: Fulfill a company's CSR sustainability and environmental
commitments by ensuring that a number of staff have a tangible climate qualification.
This would help to reinforce a company's commitment to the environment and create
positive public relations for your company with tangible actions.
4. Wellness and Retention: As companies struggle to retain talent, we have found that
the shared experience of these courses connects people to each other, their team, as
well as to the nature around them. Knowing that their business is making a serious effort,
and demonstrating a strong environmental ethos drives the employer brand and
employee retention.
5. Up Skill Employees - All employees should be able to speak easily about the
environment and the steps that their company is taking to make improvements in the
local area. Broaden their understanding of important environmental concepts and how
they can contribute at an individual level as well as part of a team.
